We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher (f/m/d) to become part of our team in Fürth for a duration of up to two years, commencing as soon as feasible. Potential research domains include public economics, behavioral economics, labor economics, and other economic research areas pertinent to the evolution of the Social Market Economy.
At the Ludwig Erhard ifo Center for Social Market Economy and Institutional Economics located in Fürth, our focus is on investigating the optimal design of institutions to tackle contemporary challenges like demographic shifts, climate change, and economic inequality. We explore questions such as: What effects does the institutional setup (e.g., tax and transfer systems, pension schemes) have on behavior? Under what circumstances do individuals disregard rules? What is the public’s understanding of economic mechanisms, and how can this knowledge be enhanced? We aim to address these inquiries and more. We invite you to join us in this endeavor!
