Senior Economist

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU-funded project Advisory Support on Climate Adaptation, Resilience, and Nature-based Solutions in Environmental Sectors. We are currently seeking experts to join our core team to support the successful delivery of this project.

Project Objective:
The goal of this assignment is to enhance environmental investments, including climate adaptation, resilience, and nature-based solutions, by providing specialized technical and financial advisory support to public promoters within the EU.

Project Duration:
The project is set to begin in June/July 2025, with a contract implementation period of 24 months starting from that date.

Position Available:
Senior Economist

Qualifications and Skills:

• A University Degree (or equivalent qualification) in economics, environmental economics, socioeconomics, sustainable development, sociology, or a related field pertinent to the assignment.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English (CEFR C1 level or equivalent).

General Professional Experience:

• A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in areas such as research, consulting, civil society, finance/investment, or project/infrastructure development.

Specific Professional Experience:

• At least 7 years of experience in providing advisory services to public authorities, civil society, utility companies, ports, project developers, fund managers, government agencies, or financial institutions focused on funding or financing for infrastructure, sustainability, or ecosystem-related projects.
• Proven experience in conducting cost-benefit analysis for projects or investments related to water, the environment, climate, or sustainability, demonstrated through involvement in at least 5 projects.
• Experience in the design, management, or implementation of participatory or stakeholder engagement processes is a plus.
• Expertise in ecosystem services valuation will be considered an advantage.
